En arrivant au Village j ai rencontre un groupe d enfants qui partait chercher de l eau au puits, ici les jeux sont rares....

While arriving at the Village i have meeting a children group which left to seek water at the well, here the plays are not often....

Hello Francine.
Very touchy photo, a child doing the work of a grownup, what a terrible life.
I like this close up shot, the indifferent look on the child's face, great cropping, but I'm not sure about the top part. Good choice of b&w.

je la trouve excellente cette image parcque le regard de cet enfant nous interroge. Si sérieux, et en même temps, une bouteille sur la tête, c'est presque un jeu.
J'aime bien le cadrage qui fait sortir l'enfant comme si nous aussi on le croisait.

Salut Francine, yes these children are forced to grow up very early in life and instead of enjoying their childhood, they have to work to help the family. You can see that in this face, where happiness is not there and that is sad. Beautiful portrait in b&w, with a wonderful lighting and a nice background for some context.

Une photo qui aurait tout à fait sa place pour illustrer un article dans un journal. Vraiment un bonne photo de reportage avec une bonne profondeur de champ et un léger grain, bien dosé. Par contre ton titre m'intrigue. Ca ne serait pas plutôt At the well ?

very filmic, this photo...i like how you got down and lowered the camera to the level of the kid's face...
also - very interesting effect with the bokeh and a white distant background...
