Photographer’s Note
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island nation in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Africa. It consists of two islands: São Tomé and Príncipe, located about 140 kilometres off of the north-western coast of Gabon. Both islands are part of an extinct volcanic mountain range.
I really enjoyed working there…. It is probably one of my favourite in Africa. It has a wonderful Brazilian touch…. And it is pretty untouched….. if you are lucky to get there one day, please leave the way it was….
I am really sad to see how in too many countries tourism has destroyed the village, the people and more….
It is also one of the some African countries were people really value their place and would not fly away to the “American dream” or “European Eldorado”.
All proceeds from sales of pictures will go to the art education project of Art in All of Us (WWW.ARTINALLOFUS.ORG) and/or trusted partner in third world countries

Heyyy..niice. Brazilians really did a good job around. A shame it wasn't the other way round, if you ask me.

Fantastic photo Anthony. The POV, the timming, the B&W, the composition. My olny sorrow is the size of the photo, but very well done.

Anthony,
Definitely at "decisive moment"!!!
Wonderful, sharp, capture of this chap in mid air, his pose somehow adding a sense of mystery and wonder to what is probably a common place scene.
Regards
Colin

You could have well checked the "decisive moment" category... A great composition with that foreground right kid giving a lot of depth to the scene. Great photo.

Hello Anthony.
I like a lot of your photos, but this one seems to me it's taken in the perfect moment, the curve position of the jumping boy...I like the colour tones you've chosen.Really a great photo.
Best regards

haha crazy Wow 16000+ viewed and only 18 points? weird...Anyways love the composition. I love how everyone's looking at the flying dude and makes me wonder how he lands it...He also seem awfully high just from jumping... Good pic mate.

A brilliant photo. The title is perfect as it looks just like a take off and no ordinary dive. I must say it does have a Brazilian touch !!

a great decisive moment shot Anthony - the suspension in mid-air so nicely framed between the bystanders is wonderful - perhaps a little need for edge discipline on the right but I am not quibbling - a step above so many downward diving boys into far eastern rivers - this has another level of quality!

An excellent shot! It reminds me of H.C.Bresson frames. Congratulations! Keep up the good work.

Hi Anthony, what a great shot, exciting, dramatically composed using the whole frame. My only reservation is the heavy sepia treatment... Was it really necessary.
Apart from that, love it!
