Photographer’s Note
Taken in the Virunga mountains, this large male was sitting in vegetation and seemed relaxed and deep in thought. I have cropped and sharpened this but is otherwise original. I used a shutter speed fast enough in case he moved and hoped the exposure would be ok, difficult to take pictures of dark fur in shadow when you can't use a flash! iso was also set to minimise noise. He was about 12ft from me ;o)

Hola Martin,
Impresionante foto,
como has sabido captar este gorila,
además que tiene mucha nitidez la foto,
no se desde que distancia la pudiste hacer pero esta muy conseguida,
el contraste de colores realmente bonito,
Felicidades!,
Un saludo,
Elena

Hej,
I feel impressed.
I heard that mountain gorillas are very dangerous, they have extremely strong teeth, they can bite even a riffle...Great POV and really amazing distance between you and HIM.
Great job.!!
Anna
