Photographer's Note
In Africa, road condition sometimes is tough and driving is difficult. Taking the “not-so-good buses”, broken down or jammed in somewhere for hours is possible. On the muddy road along the Lake Kivu in western Rwanda, we have got this unforgettable image!
RWANDA, just in the middle among Burundi and Uganda, is relatively more stable and densely populated. Its people are hardworking, friendly and smart; speaking both French and English in addition to local dialect Kinyarwanda. The genocide, in 1994, has earned it very bad reputation but lots of international attention as well as foreign aids. Western Rwanda has very mountainous sceneries and comfortable weather. Lake Kivu, shared by Rwanda and Congo, offers relaxing border town feel and convenient transit into Congo or other West African countries!
