The quality of the Rwanda green tea leaves is among the best in the world, due to the excellent ecological conditions, the volcanic soil and the high-elevated grounds where it grows. Tea growing in Rwanda started in 1952 and today apart the eastern provinces, you can find many tea plantations in the country, with a higher concentration around the Lake Kivu. The total planted area is 12,862 hectares and after the coffee market plunged, tea is now number one export earner, contributing up to 34% of the total national exports.

Hi Attila,
I love the strong green hues throughout the photo and mainly on the tea plantation. You chose a good POV and the houses are superbly included on both sides of the photo. Good photo work!

Hi Attila,
That's an interesting note with a good documentary picture.

Ciao Attila,
Bel lavoro!
Ciao,

Igor

Szia Attila,
Hát ezek a színek!! Valami fantasztikusak.
Köszönjük a szép fotót.

Ciao Attila l'Africano!
ciao

Szia Attila,
I'm not so much of a tea drinker, but I appreciate how strong the greens are on this image, and I like as well how the houses contrast with them. Could possibly require little but extra sharpening, but maybe yuoo had to keep it so to stay under 200KB ?
Have a nice day JY

Hi, my friend!
Rwanda! Wow! I never been in Rwanda. It is for me very oryginal and very exotic. Interesting view and interesting composition. Good colours and light. Well done.
Marek

Ciao Attila,

Szia Attila!!
Csodaszép táj és színek!! A zöld teamező varázslatos, mintha egy festmény lenne a kis öreg házakkal!

I love the greens you captured on this tea plantation. Remembers me of some images from Munmar by prumod. There is this same quality of textures on the tea fields. Very nice.

Szia Attila!
Milyen szép ez a vidék, az ültetvény (nyilván a metszés és a sűrű lomb következtében) olyan, mintha puha matracokat raktak volna szorosan egymás mellé. Tetszenek a házak, jó kontrasztot adnak a sok zöldhöz - kultúrtájba egyébként is elkél valami emberi jelenlétre utaló elem.

Szép vasárnapo! Üdv,
Marci

Hi Attila,
Excellent POV on the village and the tea plantations which look so thick and nicely green!
Good framing with just enough sky to balance the picture.

Hi Attila,
The lush green of the tea really makes the shot stand out even from the thumbnail, and the small villages on the side add good interest. A nice bright and balanced shot.

Hello Attila,
Once again a great photo well completed with this fine informative note abou the importance of tea on Rwanda's exports.
I like this green hue that the photo exhales and its contrast with the light blue sky.
Also interesting is to watch the slow life passing by, thru the vision of the tiny but visible persons in front the houses on the left side.
Nice one once again.
Cheers.

Hello Attila,

Everyone thinks green tea is coming from far east but you are registering here its not. Green tones are powerful and I like different level between tea field and houses, also their contrasts. Great capture, very informative notes. Congratulations.

Hi Attila. Excellent composition showing the way tea grows so well in this region. It certainly looks very healthy. Good notes. TFS. Murray.

Ciao!!

The most famous tea is the green one thanks to its andioxidants. I suppose that this is the reason of intensive agriculture. I like very much the saturated colours and the framing with the cottages. Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice weekend,
Athanasios.

fresh appeal have this place and discribet in this presentation with superb way my friend..!!!!

Hi,

Hi Attila,
Beautiful shot, you got good saturation, and I love the contrast between the red soil and the flashy green of the tea fields! A little suggestion though, next time, you could try co slightly shift the framing downwards, in order not to have the "half/half" effect between the sky and the fields.

Kind regards, cheers
-Pascal-

Hello Attila,
An attractive classic composition!
Excellent colours and details, the tea plants stand out very well and contrast nicely with the sky...
Fine placement of the houses!
Greetings,

Wonderful picture, nice shot

Hello Atus
It is quite rare to see photos from this country! I love the green of the tea leaves which contrasts so nicely with the houses and the overcast sky. A very attractive view under a pleasant light with a touch of exoticism very well conveyed. It goes to my fav ;D

Hello Attila
The tea gardens are very similar to those in southern part of India...looks like carpets of green, bordered by the houses. The tiny people in front of the huts is an evidence of the leisurely lifestyle here. Excellent work my friend!

Hi Attila,
Photos of tea plantations often fascinate me much and make me wanting to know them alive. This one is no exception. Besides the amazing well rendered colours, I like the graciousness of compo, with every element very nicely balanced. A great eye catcher!
TFS, Regards, José.

lovely colorsss.. beautiful scenery. well captured. its a picture postcard from Rwanda

Hi Attila,
I am very surprised to hear about successful hi-quality green tea growing in Rwanda. The name of this country is associated only with the recent civil war and a great tragedy to me. So I am happy to hear that they are getting better.
Your picture nicely captures the (sub?)tropic climate flora, the plantages as well the local architecture. Your note greatly increases the informational value of the photo and vice versa.
Well done.
Regards,
Adrian

Hi Attila,

I came across this fine image on the home page and I'm glad I did. I don't know why but I never expected to see such lush greenery in Rwanda and this is very lush. Beautiful green tones, which contrast well with the huts on the left and taken from a fine perspective. A really fine capture and one which fits in with the TE 'motto' of 'learning about the world through photography' well done.

Regards

Stephen

Hello Attila!
