[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
He repairs shoes for a living. He is part of the marginalized BatWa tribe.
His stare speaks enough, so I'll just shut up.

very poingnant - good portrait - thanks

Wonderful portrait. The subject matter and angle is great I would change nothing about it. I think the quality of the image could use some editing to enhance the face. Maybe less contrast and also try BW? neway great pic.

Yes, great portrait. Really sharp and "focused" (subject wise that is). Nice simple frame and note also. Great work.

the lines on his face and his piercing eyes could probably weave a thousand stories and tell of things i could never imagine. while th lighting seems a little bright, it helps bring our some of his features, like the lines. simple but strong portait. well done!

Hi Joop. A very strong and emotive portrait of this man in Rwanda. It is a wonderful composition of this man. It would be interesting to know his age as i suspect he looks older than his years. Well presented. Haunting. Murray.

Witaj,
Ciekawa faktura twarzy...
Pozdrawiam.

This is a very sharped portrait, maybe a bit too overexposed and it's dificult to see the tone of the skin. I like the glance, very expressive.
Great shot,
Cheers, Jean-Claude

Hello Joop,
Very impressive portrait full of emotion and perhaps sadness and resignation. Who knows ?
Regards
Jean-Louis

hallo Joop,

Wat een knap portret ! heel intense blik, die inderdaad alles zegt. Ik vind het sterke contrast ook heel knap en de achtergrond is ook goed verdeeld in een donker en een licht vlak. Great one :)
groetjes, inn

An excellent close up and the man as well. I don't know how this shot would look in a different light, I assume that that this shot would work in a lot of different ways. I'd suggest restoring more of the pictures initial colour, just for kicks. Either way a great shot.
