Photographer’s Note
Another photo taken with the BaTwa. We were leaving the village late in the afternoon and this girl went right ahead of us to go get water, when all of a sudden she stopped, turned around, and stared into the distance. Not sure why ...
She just stood there for a while ... thinking ... this young girl struck me as being very mature and calm.
We have so much to learn from people living different lives ...
Anyways I am rambling ... the mood was great that afternoon ... very serene ... and so I took this photo

Hi Joop,
Outstanding portrait. Excellent composition, choice of B&W and shallow DOF use. There seems to be a serene feeling about her.
I like it very much.

hallo Joop,
groeten , inn
