Photographer’s Note

This health centre is situated in the south of Rwanda, where the deforestation of the surrounding hills has caused draughts and hunger for the population. Therefore, the German Red Cross in co-operation with the Croix Rouge Rwandaise had supplied Susoma (a nutriment) for weak people (especially pregant women) that was provided in the depicted health centre, led by Spanish catholic nuns.

Surprisingly, shortly after our departure from that place, a tropical rainstorm occured, whose powerful winds even rooted out some trees.
