[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I never thought, that it shall appear in such far country, in such city in which almost you will never meet white people. But even more I have amazed this mysterious masquerade. When many people gather for the areas and look at ancient sacral action. Was silly to think, that we on it (white people) - the invited visitors! This policeman of spirit and never will admit anybody to dancing spirit on pain of death. But even my photographing has caused in him a lot of indignation. Only after a while our black friends have tried to ask to resolve him to us to capture a show.

So let me get this t=straight...he was annoyed at you taking his picture?? It does not seem that way as he is not looking at you. Did you take it as soon as he turned around?? Quite a scary situation...

I have heard that in Nigeria it's not so easy to take such pictures... people start screaming at you and get sometimes crazy... especially in bigger cities like Lagos and others... but this is so diverse country so it might be totally different elsewhere...

Well, you should get 10 smileys for just getting to this location.

Very good shot under some unusual circumstances.

Nice emotion.

Alex, great shot here, captaste la emocion en el hombre justo a tiempo! bien hecho.

Someone earlier asks here if the guy on the photo was annoyed at you photographying him.. I don't know the story but I can tell from my own African experience that it is quite likely! Anyway, the photo is very good, it captures the local character in a setting which I hope is not one put on for tourists. During my own trip to West Africa, I was hoping to come across some local celebrations like this one, unfortunately this did not happen.
