Arrived at Agadez , the door of the Ténéré desert, the Peuls proposed me to share with them their "cour".
This is a place of sand and banco houses where all family live (sleep eat and work)
Peuls tribe is "nomade" ,they just stop in the town during the very dry season.
The face of peul chidren is very nice, with beautiful big eyes.
I often shot them, I spend 15 days with them, but I can't remenber witch of them is the girl !!!

Incredibe. I've been to Niger 13 times, starting in the autumn of 2003, each time staying about one or two months. All those times, I spent time in the bush with a nomadic Wodaabe family who became 'my family'. With the troubles now, it's been a few years. Today I got nostalig and googled 'Agadez', and found this picture - some of my family members, ten years ago! From left to right; Jeyni, Ja'u and Haruna. The last two are the two youngest of eight brothers, and the girl is their niece, their older sister's first child. They were staying with Allala, father of the boys and the girl's mother, who was employed as the night watch of the 'mission catolique' in Agadez. The picture is taken in the yard where he lived, and where I lived when in Agadez, untill he retired and went to join the family in the bush. I keep in touch still, calling the eldest brother who lives in Arlit. Great to find this picture ...
