The 18 is the emergency number to call the fire brigade. This maquis* is located just next to the barracks. you can see advertisements for the Flag, wich is a bier brewed all over West-Africa and for Pall Mall. The add says you can buy it by the piece for 20 francs**.

* : A "maquis" is a bar in West-Africa, with usually a terrasse outside.

** : +/- 0,03 €

Hello Patrice,

I've been looking through your gallery of fine pictures, and was surprised to see this one had 698 viewings but no comment or critique.

A interesting and colourful image, with the boy in the left FG giving us a look which invites us to come in through the archway into the shady bar behind.

I feel perhaps that the archway is a bit too central in the image for the most pleasing composition, and the partially visible trunk of the tree on the right is slightly distracting.

I thought I might try a WS for you.
