[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Koran verses get washed down from the wooden board to be drunk by marabout's patients.

Marabout is traditional muslim healer, holy man , and helps not only with your health problems, but for example with success in business. You have to describe your problem and marabout will prepare a set of spells and write them down with suitable verses from Koran on a wooden board, which gets washed afterwards and the patient is given the dirty water with ink to drink. There is many marabouts like this in Mirriah, town in eastern Niger, where islam had to incorporate traditional practices in order to gain popularity. / More on www.nygus.info

Witaj Swiatek.

As is usual in your photos a new and different POV, as also an interesting scene.

The light also is good.

Thanks for share.

Beautiful shot, Swiatek with that plunging POV and sharp cropping at the top. Very cool picture.
Happy New Year,
Francis

Very interesting shot, documentary wise. Your warm brown colors as usual, not so sure about your strict vertical angle which tends to compress images thus making it flat, probably a slighter angle would habve been a little more dynamic.
Anyway still very good.
Best wishes and most interesting trips for 2007.
