Enough of South Africa...
Here I am starting to show Namibia part of the trip.
Etosha National park. Just before the rain season, which means the driest time.

Do you think the tree provides effective shade for those poor springboks?
Something is better than nothing - African animals know this rule very well.

Looks dead for now. Poor creatures, but it is their habitat, so they are suited! Very nice glimpse of life in the plains of nothing-ness!

Hello Olga
A very interesting picture, a touching scenery indeed!
Well done, TFS.

Hello Olga,

Your photo illustrates the harshness of the African savannah very well, I do feel sorry for these animals, there must not be a lot of palatable grass for them to enjoy at this time. I suppose this is the way nature controls overpopulating in this area. Survival of the fittest. I am sure they can sense that the wet season will soon come and that better times are ahead. The almost featureless landscape is a pretty unforgiving place. The pale colours and large empty spaces suggest a lack of life - if it were not for the springboks I would have though nothing significant lived here. Very resilient.

Matt

Hi Olga!!
it is really a nice picture, showing those animals hard life, thirsty and scared by predator animals.
Composition of colors is well done, you show the bare trees on a blue sky without any cloud.
TFS, nice work!
