Dead Vlei, 'Dead valley', one of the more amazing place I've seen during this namibian trip.

The view is shot while climbing one of the highest dune of this area, which is called 'Big Daddy', about 300 meters high. This dune is part of Dead Vlei, just near the flat area of the valley, called the pan :

Bonjour Laurent,

C est vrai que c est un site assez impressionnant.
J aime bien ton cadrage qui part du bas avec les traces de pas dans le sable, qui nous amene naturellement sur les randonneurs et dont le chemin le long de la crete nous amene au sommet.
Je pense que ca aurait pu etre un poil meilleur en cadrant un peu plus large pour inclure l integralite de l arete dans la photo, mais tu etais peut etre deja au taquet avec le 17-35?

I think that this photo is simply "essential". I like very much the graphism of the dune line and the switch between light and shadow, with the gentle tone of sand and sky. So beautiful... And what a place!

A very simple picture. The people just fill the frame in the perfect position, so the picture is not "empty". The tracks they leave, beginning from the bottom of the picture, naturally leads the eye to them. It is more or less in monochrome, with shades of brown and orange.

Vue classique des dunes mais très joliment réalisée. Je pense malgré tout que j'aurai préféré voir moins de ciel et un peu plus de sable...
Les personnages donnent bien l'échelle du lieu.
Tu en as de la chance d'être allé là-bas.!
