| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
During October 2007 we ventured into the dune area south of Walvis Bay. A special permit and guide are required to enter the area.It is also adviceable to have a GPS available.
Four vehicles and sixteen persons enjoyed an unusual trip which requires good driving skill, nerves of steel and a willingness to dig in the sand to recover a vehicle stuck in the dunes.
The trip was planned for a period of three days, but unfortunately the guides vehicle experienced some mechenical problems, forcing us to return to Walvis Bay on day two.
This trip is recommended for all those enjoying lot of sand, complete quietness and a campsite under the african night sky. |

Hi Max,
spectacular shot and beautiful landscape of big dunes. I'm sure it was unforgettable adventure... :o) This picture is showing littleness of human being in the face of the nature...
I miss Namibian sun and its desert landscapes... especially now during dark, winter days in Europe... ;o)
Best regards,
Andrzej
Hello Max,
Simple and impressive. Gives the impression of infinity. Nice POV and good details.

Hi Max,
it's impressive to see this jeep against these red dunes, it gives the right sense of their dimension
Well done!
