[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I visited the Dead Vlei in Namibia minimum 90 times, but this day I will never forget! Water all over!
The sky was reflecting on the wet sand and the wastersurface reflected the trees.
It was a dream! Short after 11 am the water was away. The sun dried the place...

I've seen many great pictures of this fantastic place, but this is one of the best. The reflection on the water adds the extra to this one. The shadows crossing the frame is perfect.

Hi Dionys,

Yes, I really should go to this place one day. The shots I see of it are just amazing! And this is a very nice one too. I'm wondering how much rain the place gets - and as such I'm wondering how lucky you were to get a shot of a reflection!
The reflection is very nice, but what I like even more is the diagonal in the background of the shadow. Very well composed. I'm only not totally convinced by the white line in the frame. Maybe the blueish tone of parts of the foreground would fit well there.

Beautiful light and colours. That blue water fits the orange perfectly. The composition is very good. That line dividing the wall sun/shadow is great because it leads us to the tree.

Greetings Dionys. A stunning shot you have here. The light and shadow, the silhouetted dead tree, the reflection, and the remarkable colours. I like the square format for this. The background is superb, with that strong diagonal shadow and the sunlit hill/dune or whatever it is. Really lovely photo.

I have to tell you though, that the location is incorrect, Dead Vlei is in the south of Namibia, in Hardap, Sossusvlei. This is one place I must visit before I die
