[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hitchiing between Keetmanshoop and the RSA border, I got a lift with a Turkish guy in an old Cortina which was unable to do more than about 60kmh. He tried relentlessly to convert me to Christianity along the way. We stopped at a garage to buy petrol and this young guy and his friends were hanging around.

Although it was hot, he was wearing this woollen balaclava, which I thought made him look more interesting.

at first i thought this delicate face and neck belonged to a young woman. i like the contrast between the somewhat hard look in his eyes (or perhaps it is just because of sunlight), and the his fine and elegant features.
