Photographer’s Note
Here a new post from the Dead forest in the natural park of Sossuvlei. Those acacias are dead since more than 500 years, but as the humidity is very low, they were not degradated.
The trees are in a dry lake which is no more filled with water as the red dunes have isolated this lake.

Bonjour yves,

Hi Yves,
Some wonderful shots you have going here on the Death Tree Forest. Strange area. A dead forest in an empty lake. Great for pictures as you show us! Love the red dunes on the blue and the brown/black trees contrasting with the bottom of the lake. Great!

Hello Yves,
This is startlingly beautiful! Excellent composition; the horizontal lines of vivid colour could almost have been painted! The textures of the wood and sand show up very well and the whilst the stark tree shadow points the way!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

SAlut Yves,
Yves

Hello Yves,
This is a stunning composition. I don't know where to start in commenting. It's a dramatic setting. Your note amplifies well the impact of the dried lakebed on these acacia trees, dead for more than 500 years. The red dunes provide a strong middle ground for the sky and lakebed. And that dead tree branch, what can I say? You have framed it so well. This photo is a great discovery.
Best wishes,
José
