This one is just like my previous post, taken in the Kalahari desert. The biggest part of this desert is in Botswana and also covers parts of South Africa and as you see here, Namibia. Kalahari means "Great Thirst" in Tswana, the national language of Botswana.
This picture was also taken while driving and you see the rear of my 911 and nothing is really in focus because just seconds after this picture was taken I broke the sound barrier.

It is the side fender which feels movement.
The engine sound of the air cooling flat 4 reached me!
This work is wonderful!

Hi Gilbert, I love this image. You've captured the illusion of speed nicely here, with the blurred road and the one focused spot. As someone who has cycled these roads, I know how endless they are and your image managed to illustrate that suggestion. Nice one!

Nicely shot Gilbert. Looks like you are lucky you didn't fall out. Your shot really captures the motion without being distracting.

Very bold photo! Rather dizzying speed...The word Kalahari brings to mind vast arid desert with nomads inhabiting. Here we see a different view of it.
What was the speed limit??

Very nice both your shots at 70 mph (very easy to brake the sound barrier in Namibia ;P).
On this one, I like the "cadrage", with the wheel, so much of the road and the sky and hills somewhere behind.
The only thing I don't like is the focus. It'd be better to focus on the horizon, it'd give a better feel of the movement.
Greetings and keep the wheel spinnin'!

Congratulations for the sound barrier,
You're wrong the focus is OK ,what we can see is the movment and this is the interest of the photo.
I like this dynamic

You're a wild man, Gilbert. This is a great and fun shot. Seriously, it's a great, up-close angle on the road that's dizzying. Your note makes me wish I were there, too.
Take it easy,
