Himba Woman
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I visited a Himba village near Sesfontein. There I saw this young married women with this particular look in her eyes.
These nomadic people of Namibia use grinded red stone mixed with animal fat to cover their skin. Very interesting visit it was.
Sadly there was no interaction between me and the adult Himba people, not that I didn't try. The guide was not willing to translate. The only interaction was between the children and me...what fun that was!
Shot in RAW
Adjusted contrast (slight increase)
Decreased highlights 11%

another good cameo this time of a singularly beautiful girl..and with strong personality..no silly smile..
i wanted to alter your composition somewhat.
here
Very special mood in this shot and also the hairstyle makes it to a very good picture!!! I can read in the picture the difference between the two people which you have explained in the note!!! That's not a guide!!!
Yes you're right, even if you don't know the language you can always "talk" with the children! They have the language of smiling!!!
Regards Oli
