Here the sand desert of Namib starts, one of the oldest deserts of the world. Sand is there of an incredible ochre color. The Elim dune in Sesriem is the first dune of an immense series of dunes which extends on 60 km until Sossusvlei. This dune makes a hundred meters in height only whereas others, further, exceed the 300 meters. The Elim dune is visited because it is located very close to the campings. The evening, the shaving light, gives an incredible luminosity on the plain and the volcanic mountains which one can observe in the distance. The dune is partially covered with plants of the Oyats type of a pretty water green.

Bravo

What I do really like here is how far you can see the horizon... Two different planes of colors.. two different sights. You've managed to combine it all very well and show the foreground and background extremely successfully.
congrats.

Hi Jean ,Stunning image, lovely colours and contours.
Well done.
Dave.

Alexiane

Salut Jean Pierre,

fantastic compo here and full contrast with a perfect BG. You must have been very lucky to find such a POV and lightning.
THanks for your WS on my 'Pointe de Raz' sent yesterday. It really looks better with your framing and brighness. However the sharpness made the compressed version it a bit too noisy.

Hi Jean
What an impressive colourful scene. Great shot and good POV and compo. Good catch.
greetings Albrecht

Amicalement,

Vincent

Really nice strong colour and pattern and I like the way the strong reds are turned to gentle yellow tones in the background

This photo is the one which i liked most among yours. The colors are great. The waves of front sand add much to the photo by contrasting the part with plantation. The hills from far part of the landscape also create a good combination. And overall a nice composition you have done. Congrats,

Aziz

Quelle belle lumière !
Ce paysage fait rêver.

Salut Jean-Pierre,
Bonne journee,
Jean-Yves

Almost like a postcard ! The lines in the sand, the grass in the middle makes a perfect composition, and the colours are just magical.

Hi Jean Pierre - fantastic lines in the sand and the light is excellent here, it brings out the orange sand, and very clever idea seeing the distant desery through the scant vegetation.

Awesome coloring and very good composition. I'm really jealous of these kind of shots! great work!

great colors of sand and good POV and overall composition. the grass seems a little out of focus. was it windy ? colors of the sky are also slightly washed out which is strange with the sun behind your back. to compensate this defficiency I woul use a tighter crop to eliminate the colorless top. thanks for sharing

Jean Pierre, I really love your photo!!! I do prefer the original however...the sky colors seem more vibrant in that one. Can't wait to see the photos from Bolivia!

Joy

Voici une belle photo de Namibie
