Photographer's Note

The name of these very special and beautiful trees that are indigenous to Southern Africa is the Quiver tree. They are part of the aloe family and grow in dry regions. The quiver tree has been named the national plant of Namibia.
It's name derives from from the habit of the San people, or Bushmen, who use the branches of this species for making quivers to contain their poison arrows.
