Photographer's Note

Another shot from the archives and one in which I hope I have managed to convey something of the special feeling of watching wildlife in the early mornings in Etosha. One can drive through the park in the middle of the day and see game but nothing can beat an early departure from your camp. The camp gates open around sunrise and if you are willing to miss breakfast (we take a flask of coffee and some nibbles) an early start means you can watch the animals in the early morning light and cool of the day when they are most active. The zebra here were travelling to and from a waterhole. All we needed to do was park up, drink our coffee and enjoy the show.

I recommend you view this on the beta version of TE where you can see a larger version and the detail far better. http://beta.trekearth.com/gallery/photo1427974.htm

I do wish the usual TE would allow the larger uploads to be displayed
