Photographer’s Note
Kolmanskop (mining village built 1908, deserted 1956) turned out to be one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises in Namibia. Having seen only few pictures from the place, I thought there was much less to it. But Kolmanskop is full of amazing houses and rooms, and has much atmosphere. Most fascinating was the hospital (picture later). Walking completely alone in the building was eerie, but great. Even though it hasn't been used as a hospital for decades, it still has the distinct hospital smell, adding to the imagination.

Nana,
This image intrigues me mostly because I can't identify what is in the room on the floor. It looks as though the room is filling with water. Very interesting composition—would you mind commenting?
I posted a workshop which I hope you will like.
Thanks,
Michael
