Dead Vlei, trees and pan (II)
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Dead Vlei, 'Dead valley', one of the more amazing place I've seen during this namibian trip. The white / yellow ground (the pan) is made of clay and salt, there was some water here, a long time ago.
The trees died a few hundred years ago, but are still there. The explanation is that the air and ground are so dry, no moisture at all, so the trees stay in their original shape. |

Hi Laurent
Namibia is on my list of places to visit. It seems incredibly beautiful and photogenic. Really nice landscape you have captured here under some harsh light. Well done.
Ben
Jean-Claude
Hello Laurent,
pictures of Dead Vlei always are atractive, and this isn't exception! Extreemly dry and extreemly beautiful place, captured in this image very good. Master work!

Salut Laurent
