A big cat in Amani
 |

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
So it's a cat, but a big one, not this kind of cat you may have in your house :)
This lion leaves with a female in a place called Amani at about thirty kilometers of Windhoek. This place is in a moutain area at 2100 meters high. A french business man began a new life a few years ago dedicated to the big cats (cheetas, lions and panthers).
This couple of lions comes from the Kalahari desert (south of Namibia) where they was about to be killed by local people. The man from Amani decided to buy them and to offer them a new life.
The weight of this lion is more than 200 kilos. When he looks at you, it really seems you could be his next meal ... |

Le regard de la bête est vraiment impressionant, ça donne la chair de poule. La compo est superbe, bien centré.
Bien fait,

Hi Laurent,
Magnificent on all levels...composition, lighting and the eyes of the cat. Seeing this is a nice way to start the day out here in Colorado.
Hi Laurent,
Impressive portrait. Great places these private sanctuaries, providing safe place to big cats and allowing visitors to follow their life too. Place on those rocks looks quite natural. Framing a bit tight on the top.
