Oryx in Namib-Nankluft
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
We were driving to Kulala, in the Namib-Nankluft park. Namib is the name of the desert of dunes, and Nankluft the name of the moutains you can see at the background.
This oryx (an antilop) seemed to be the only animal in the surroundings. It was standing there, watching at us, as if wondering who was disturbing its loneliness.
I was quite lucky to see it as it fitted so perfectly with the colors of the ground and was rather far away from our car. I have to say that I was so impressed with the landscapes around us, as the sun was beginning to set, that I was watching everything I could to be sure I didn't miss anything interesting. Otherwise, I am sure I would have missed it. |

Hi Emanuelle!
This picture is absolutely stunning! The calm atmosphere of the mountains is shared with the lonely silhuette of the antilope! The sharpness is good and it makes the contast and the shadows on the steep part of the mountain look great! Very nice composition!
Cheers!
Salut Emma
Cette photo me plait beaucoup et la présence ainsi que le cadrage de l'oryx y est pour beaucoup. Par contre si je situe les montagnes du Nankluft je ne situe pas Kulula.
Amicalement
