Church at Keetmanshoop
from www.namibia-travel.net:
Keetmanshoop lies on the B4, 500 km south of Windhoek. It is the traffic junction and the economic centre for the whole south of Namibia. The town was founded as a mission station in 1866 and named after the German trader Johann Keetman who supported the mission financially. There is a museum in the old church where the illustrated history of Keetmanshoop is on display. Worth a visit is the old "Kaiserliche Postamt" built in the year 1910, which now houses the Tourist Information.

Achim,
This is a well composed shot of this church. The angle of the shot works well giving the scene a nice sense of depth and direction. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail.

Hello Achim,
A pleasing perspective on this simple but attractive looking church. The dark sky makes a good foil for the grey stones. Good colours and clarity.

Hello Achim,
Very astonishing this church in Africa. A very good shot, the church arise very well in the super blue of the sky. A POV well selected too and a good framing.
Best regards,

Another surprising image from Namibia. I wonder about a tighter framing that would exclude the structures on the left. Nevertheless you have managed the strong light very well with the polarised sky contrasting nicely with the stone church.

Hallo Achim,
Your setting helps to enjoy the lines of this old church and its simple architecture.
The strong light and the blue polarized well tones work very well to give a special attraction to the image.
Nice work.

Hello Achim, the photograph is simple but allured by his great clearness and the freshness of the colors, you placed well the building in your composition for qu' it is detached, and with polarizing contrasts are well proportioned, the detail of the stone is sublime under the effect of this blue of the intense sky, as well as whiteness of the roof of the Keetmanshoop church and that of the bell, the whole is d' a good clearness, one sincerely feels the heat of the climate through the image what gives an atmosphere collected very well, ...............................Bonjour Achim, La photo est simple mais séduit par sa grande netteté et la fraîcheur des couleurs, tu as bien placé le bâtiment dans ta composition pour qu'il se détache, et avec le polarisant les contrastes sont bien dosés, le détail de la pierre est sublime sous l’effet de ce bleu du ciel intense, ainsi que la blancheur du toit de l’église Keetmanshoop et de celui du cloché, le tout est d'une bonne netteté, l’on ressent la chaleur du climat au travers de l’image ce qui donne une atmosphère très bien captée, bien amicalement

Hi Achim,
Wonderful shot. A good POV and well-composed and taken in good light. Excellent clarity and many details. What really strikes me is that the church looks very European but the sourroundings are not. TFS and have a nice weekend!

Hi Achim
Nice view of the Church at Keetmanshoop. I'm not sure if this is the best POV or if i would like to cut part on left.

Hey Achim,
That`s a well composed photo in my opinion. The sky (blues) could perhaps be just a bit brighter, but otherwise it is very nice and unmistakable German colonial- African. A fine sight from a country where TE rarely ventures.
Best regards.

Hi Achim,
Detail to inform that some old arcitectures use for another purpose at today, detail to show an old church majority same as European Church where only the roof tops seem new, thanks for sharing.

Hi Achim,
As others have already said, this picture doesn't seem to be from Namibia. It is a good idea to show other contexts, different of those ones that media always shows us. Also like others, I would have cropped the left part of the image.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Achim,
The point of view showing two sides of the church is an asset to the composition. The details and colors of the different elements of the architecture of the building are clear and sharp. The light reflected by the blue sky is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
