Photographer's Note
The Quiver Tree Forest (Kokerboom Woud in Afrikaans) is a forest and a well-known tourist attraction of southern Namibia. It is located about 14 km north of Keetmanshoop.
It comprises about 250 specimens of Aloe Dichotoma, a species of aloe that is also locally known as "quiver tree" (Afrikaans: kokerboom) because bushmen use its branches to make quivers. The forest is spontaneous; the tallest quiver trees are two to three centuries old. The forest was declared a national monument of Namibia.

Most probably the photo of the day, even without the branches on the right...
Congrats!

The sunset dream of every photographer Kris, and the very unusal looking trees and the lonely man with the tripot are the biggest bonus to the picture!

Hello Kris ,
I can understand why this forest is a must for the sunset photographers ! Great composition with the two big trees and the little man with his tripod . May be it would have been better with the entire tree on the right ?

Beautiful shot at the right time. Great sunset oranges. The photo is so much better with the photographer in the middle of it. This looks like a very interesting place (as do many of your Namibia photos!)

Hi Kris,
Very eye catching image. I love the silhouette against the orange sky. I agree with the other comments that it would have been better if the tree on the right was wholly within the frame. However, you could explore removing some of the negative space on the right of the tree and also cropping the top of the tree to see if you can improve the balance. i.e. make it look intentional that there is only part of the larger tree.
Regards,
Trevor

Wonderful shot...perhaps one of the best from Namibia I have seen of late in TE. Keeping aside the cropped tree on the right, I think this is a perfect picture with the superb sky as the BG & the silhouettes well balanced. Fine work!

Une superbe photo remarquablement composée avec ces splendides silhouettes d'arbres et ce ciel aux couleurs attractives. Le photographe complète bien la scène.
