Here a photo taken in Dead vlei, in the middle of Namib desert, an old dry lake where you can observe the forest of dead acacias.

Hello Yves

Wow, what an extreme illusion of lonelyness.
This place looks so deserted it almost looks like another planet.
Composition here is great, simple open space with the one lone wanderer to pierce the lonelyness.
If I were to do anything I would have tried to put this guy even closer to the corner.
Secondly the simple play of colours looks great. There are few elements yet at the same time they are in perfect harmony with eachother.
Thank you for sharing.

Yves,
in the middle of nowhere I would say! I suppose the ground was so hard as a stone. The sunlight looks so strong! The sky is wonderful and you were full of trekking spirit!. Very well done. Regards,
Athanasios.

Hello Yves,
I can barely imagine the silence sorrounding that place..amazing...you managed to capture a great light even if so strong..excellent exposure and colours, especially the sky. Good compo as well even if I might have wait a bit further to have more distance between the camera and the subject.

Hi Yves,

I can almost feel the heat and dryness of the desert from this picture! I can feel the solitude of the subject with only his shadow as his companion in this vast endless dessert (Of course, you were there will him to take the picture). The agony of walking through a dessert...
