[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday I uploaded post n°568309 of the “deadvlei” as a mean to promote broken poets who like to see metaphors of Life in a dead tree and a heap of sand. Considering the success (as more than 5 comments is for me a life time performance :-)), I decided to reiterate the charity post initiative.
Laziness being a much stronger aspect of my personality than creativity I’ll just copy and paste yesterday’s note as I still think (under the influence of forbidden substances) that it fits today’s post:
As I mumbled yesterday, these trees (most of them dead, yet incredibly popular – you know what you have to do to be popular now…) and these dunes in the background are for me (and for a lot of people who severely abuse drugs, and whom seem to be more and more numerous on TE if you check some of the latest posts… yes we all have the same one in mind) a sort of metaphor of different life destinies:
- The torturous path (as beautifully suggested by our popular trees).
- The smooth path (as magnificently suggested by the dunes, whom are less popular than the trees due to the fact that it’s a hell of an effort to get to their top – trust me on that) ..
Yeah, I agree with you, there is still a long way to go before reaching a kind of decent level of poetry, which is why you are kindly requested to make a donation to broken poets by rating this note “useful”.

May you avoid the torturous paths of Life,

Cheers

Vincent

Good use of the dead trees to fill the foreground, and the panoramic crop really suits the subject. Works well as a black and white image too.
The only thing that lets it down is the rather featureless sky.
Still, I like it.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Vincent,
another good B&W with good tonality and pan view. Don't like it as much as post "568309" but good non the less!!

Hi Vincent

Another great b&w work. I like your those colours and composition. Only thing which could be better for me is the sky.

Greetings
Grzegorz

Hi Vincent,
A poet in the making eh? Anyway, thought I'd check you out and i had a bit of a look at your gallery...nice...a distinctive style. These black and whites are good.I like the deep contrast and the touch of noise that adds to the desolation and sad mood.Dont hit those substances too hard "LOL".
Regards, David

Hi Vincent,

quite a nice landscape. Made more attracrive to me by the b/w and the good tonality. The bare trees are so photogenic, giving you a great graphic element here.
