Hello Olga,
your photo is superb. Very interesting and catchy. The position of the objects is well placed. Your composition allow the viewers to explore the story of your photo. The patch of grass there is very helpful in balancing your picture but most of all your tree trunk is very devastating for telling the story and is supported by flakes of dried earth. The sky and the the sand contrast each other, making your picture and attractive one. Only if the tree trunk is within the sand-dune background, I would say it will look perfect.
There are plenty to gain from your photo.

A nice photo for the dry landscape and the old tree which serves as a good focal point for the shot. The colors of the dunes and sky are very classic Namibia - well done.

Hi Olga,
A very powerful composition which is able to tell a story of this part of the world. The dead tree standing in the backdrop of the desert and blue sky is very symbolic. The framing is just superb here.

Very nicely captured colors showing textured surfaces of dried grounds and black branches, to sand dunes and blue sky. Good vertical composition.

A powerful image here with desolation and lifeless elements as you note. Good composition with the closeup of the parched soil really adding character to this shot that features the interesting black stump. Well done and TFs. Gerald
