The Elim Dune is a high and relatively isolated dune located 5 km past the Sesriem gate, on a branch of the main road connecting Sesriem to Sossusvlei. It is a hundred meters in height, and from a parking spot beside it, you can climb it (it takes more or less an hour to do it).
This dune was near our campsite and a few people went there in sunset. It is less visited than the higher dunes but I found it quite amazing with the fine wri nkles and green tree on top of it.

Another amazing capture from Namibia.
Very good layout. I appreciate your idea to leave greater space for this nice sand structure in the lower part. Nice framed.
TFS and have a nice weekend

Tes photos sont toujours aussi belles.
J'aime particulièrement celle-ci avec les sillons sur cette dune de sable et cette petite touffe de végétation en haut de la colline.

Yes, it is amazing and one wonders how the trees survive on that dune. Beautiful colours and composition. The bifurcating wind ripples on the left gradually graduating into a smooth surface towards the right give a special visual impact. Well done.

Namibia seems to be a country of many unexpected and strange sights. I don't remember seeing such a sand dune with a large tree on top, never more than the occasional low shrub. This is a very good POV which shows us clearly the "wrinkles" looking iike a finger print, and the mild blue sky on top.

The more I see of Namibia, in both Rosemary's shots and yours, the more amazed I am at the incredible colors and scenery that seems to inhabit the whole country. This simple combination of powder blue, green and bright orange is really effective, and the title fits it beautifully. Really amazing to see that burst of healthy green in the middle of a sandy desert!

Hello Malgorzata. As it seems, on this Sunday morning, all TE member up early. No one wants to miss something - and attract the Christmas markets.
Sand, a few bushes, blue sky. Your photo from Namibia I really like. It reminds me of Rosemary's photos. Unfortunately I've never been in this photographically attractive region.
Best rgds, Wolfgang
... and have a nice WE.

a beautifully crafted composition, with glorious elements, colours and texturing. Love the effect here and aptly titled.

The wrinkles, which take on a sculptured look under the light, make an excellent set of lead lines toward the solitary tree. Excellent colour contrasts and a good all round realisation.

a wonderful desert shot with amazing colors. That group of trees seem so strangely out of place here. Namibia is definitive climbing fast on my bucket list. I miss the wast open sky of Africa.
have a good sunday

wspaniale zdjecie, kolor tego pisku przyciaga uwage. Rzeczywiscie trafnie okreslilas to zdjecie. Wyglada jak jedna zmarszczka. Pieknie uformowana jest ta powierzchnia. Bardzo mi sie podoba takze to samotne drzewa umieszczone centralnie. Bardzo ladne i ciekawe zdjecie.
Serdecznie pozdrwiam i zycze milego popolodnia.

I like sandy deserts for such contrasting scenes, as in your colorful picture. A very well chosen composition, wonderful texture of the sandy surface, beautiful colors and perfect quality of your capture to show the dune in all its beauty!

the vivid orange hues of the dune catch our look easily, as well as the wrinkles and the footsteps on its sand, which they provide a strong graphism to the image.
The unusual presence of the green tree in the summit of the dune adds a nice chromatic contrast to your composition.
A beautiful work.

Piekny cieply kolor tego piasku. "Zmarszczki" bardzo ladnie zapelniaja pierwszy plan zdjecia.
