Dead Vlei panorama, a photo from Hardap, South

Photographer's Note

Dead Vlei again. Usually the photos show only one or two black dead trees against red dune. Here I want to show the whole view. It is a large clay pan surrounded by high, even more than 300 m, dunes. In spite of very unfavourable conditions, there is life there. There are some green bushes, flowers, gekons and bugs. Our guide who was native from there, told us very interesting facts about the history of this area and how can some
plants and animals survive.

How stupid I am! I wanted to post large version, but with a frame I lost the proportions 2,5 to 1.

wszystkie twoje zdjęcia z Namibii wygladają niesamowicie-oceniajac po kolorze ziemi scena jawi się nam niczym czerwona planeta.Znakomite kolory i kontrast.Do tego dobrze zastosowany panoramiczny format.Piękne miejsce.

Hello Malgorzata,
Certainly there is life even in the Dead Vlei. I can count to about 10 tourists :-), apart from the plants, some of which seem to be alive. Again marvellous and strange colours and a fascinating scenery. A good and informative panorama shot.

Bonjour Malgorzata,

J'aime beaucoup ces couleurs très vives que l'on ne voit pas souvent sur terre. Le jaune est en beau contraste avec l'orange. J'aime voir les personnage qui nous donnent une belle relation dimensionnelle.

Here you have added another colour to the flag, a light blue field that goes well together with the red and yellow fields. A very interesting and fascinating landscape! And congratulations to all these uploads!
