Photographer's Note
This is probably the last dune shot I will post from my recent trip to Namibia. Again this is a shot of Dune 45 that I converted to B+W, which I think actually shows off the lines and contours of the dune better than in color. I also increased the contrast and brightness which may be a little strident for some viewers but I think I like the effect.

namibia black&white?? mmmm in my opinion sossusvlei's dunes are tied with explosive burnt colours...but at the same time I have to say the absence of colours takes the compo onto a far away planet...

Même si je préfère voir les dunes namibiennes en couleurs, j'avoue que cette version noir et blanc ne manque pas d'intérêt. Belle composition.

Lovely scene. B&w works for me as well.
The foot prints are visible in the background, the shades on the dune give the impression of watercolors.
My nit-picking would be the slightly bright weeds (but that's your choice of increased contrast, I presume), and the little grainy feeling of a nice gradual sky.
TFS.
