[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken along the road C27 on our way to Sossusvlei. It is said to be one of the most beautiful roads in the country, and indeed the scenery along our way was splendid. Every few meters we had to stop the car to make another picture :-)

Altough this picture was made with a very cheap camera (from the Lidl shop...), I think it is quite good, thanks to the excellent weather conditions. Since we were very close to the tropic of capricorn, we didn't see a single cloud during the 2 weeks travelling through the country. This makes the country very photogenic in my opinion...

I especially like the brilliant colors of this semi-desserts. Just in front of the mountain, you can see a line of trees. According to the map, there's a small underground stream there, providing just enough water to let the trees grow.

Hi Lore
Groetjes

Hello Lore,
I see that I made this road exactly 5 days before You did it. You're right, this landscape was absolutely fabulous and I did the same with my car in order to take pictures. Considering the probably poor quality of your camera, imo this shot is not bad. The colours are vivid and well saturated, the sharpness and the dof are very good.
Hope to see more pics of Namibia from You! Tfs and best wishes.
Attila

Hi Lore. Here's another shot with very striking, well defined, bare mountains. I like the line of trees and the circular sweep of grassland up towards the slope on the right. Lovely, naturalistic colour. For a 'cheap' camera this is a very good photo.
Regards,
Andrew

re salut lore,

Hi Lore
I am very happy you found your Nikon D50 camera in a Liddl at cheap price. If you find, in the future, this camera at very low prise don't hesitate to buy for me !!! I Joke.
I really like the colors of Africa. I visited this country some years ago Namibia and I like it. In this shot I like the trees in the background. The look so small with the red mountains behind.
Cheers
JP
