Hallo Gerard!
I like this picture because of the special light conditions. The focus was well selected. The people looks like little ants.

Bonjour Gerard,
Bonne journee,
Jean-Yves

That's a beauty Gerard in simplicity of a strong composition by three main elements and layering, the old tree, the dune and the tiny people on a row on the curve of the dune, all with a very fine light contrasting colorsetting, a pleasure for the eye. Outstanding ! I enjoy this.
I see you found the secret of the 5D, the less light it gets, the better sharp fine detailled.
greetings
Henk
Hello Gerard

Emma

Bonojur Gerard!
Superbe photographie.

Hi Gerard,
WOW! This must be quite an amazing place. Everything is perfect about this, the FG with the broken branches and then the absolutely majestic dune with those people climbing it. Superb capture.

Fantastic composition!. The tree here.. the dune.. there ... and the people over there!... Looks like there where having a very big conversarion over the dune!. It can be seen their attitude one to eachother. It some kind of minimalistic shot also. Great work and congratulations

Bonsoir Gerard,
Superb capture! I love the landscapes seen in your gallery, but this one is really increadible, not only because of the attractive landscape, but also because of the "hants" climbing on the back of the "dinaussaur", made out of sand. Good foreground and colors. The ws given is enhancing. Congratulations!
Amitiés,
Ricardo

Hi
It's quite a popular place as I can notice. I love the shadows on the dune - it makes an impression of a solid rock. Nice composition with those dry trees but the tilt could be fixed before posting.Regards

W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L SHOT. You have captured the shot very nicely. Life in the dry land... great.

Hi Gerard,
Having walked over quite a few sand dunes during my travels I really appreciate this image. There is difficulty in photographing in this type of terrain, the sun is harsh and the landscape absorbing so much light causes quite a loss of colour. Plus you have managed superbly to capture the atmosphere of the desert and the great heights of dunes. I like the humour of the dune walkers as well.
Best wishes,
Celina

Bravo, Pascal

Gerard
A nice composition with lots of indication of how big the sand dune is. The decision to capture the human subject is wise. You composition is good. I also see another possible composition from this shot. The dune makes a excellent background for the white tree at the back. I would move forward and not capture the dead tree but only capture the white tree, the dune and the people while minimizing as much as possible the grass. TFS Andre

Hi Gerard - this is one of those rare cases where the presence of tourists makes a positive contribution to the photo, I like how they are lined up like ants.

Hi Gerard,
Very impressive sight to these colourfully dressed people walking on the dune. They give us good sense of proportions.
I also like inclusion of the broken tree in the foreground. Its curvy lines create great contrast with strong and sharp lines of the dune.
