[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Welwitschia mirabilis - one of the strangest plants on Earth.
Those plants are one of major attractions around Swakopmund (because they grow only in few places in Namibia and Angola).
Can you believe it, some of those plants can be as old as 2000 years?!!!
anyway, what I wanted to say is that there is no need to take an excursion in Swakopmund. If you have a car and go in Brandenberg direction, you will definitely find plenty. Some of them, though, look very unattractive: springboks have eaten all the leaves, so what is left is just a wooden stub.
See the workshop for another picture of this mirabilis plant.

Hi Olga!!
thank you for this interesting description, very good in TE spirit!

(about South Africa plants: a few days ago I bought a Protea in a pot, just on the point of blooming; I hope to be able to manage it, it is the first time I find such a plant in Italy!)

Hi Olga,
perfect compo and rule of thirds.
Natural colours without saturation.
Excellent depth of field and sharpness.
Regards
Mario

Hi Olga,
excellent shot of one of the wonders of the world. Good framing making a diagonal between the plant and mountain. Colours of the desert look special.
