Je suis tombé sur cette photo de 2001, et je pense qu’elle complète bien le dossier de la Namibie sur TrekEarth. A l’arrière-plan, on y voit le Tafelberg, et à l’avant, les plaines du Kuiseb. La voiture avec la porte ouverte montre que les Namibiens sont toujours prêt à décoller avec le 4x4 pour l’aventure et une nuit à la belle étoile.

Cette photo est prise sur la ferme auberge 'Niedersachsen', spécialisée dans l'observation astronomique.


I came across this picture from 2001 and thought that it may well fit in the Namibia section of TrekEarth. It shows the Tafelberg in the background, and the Kuiseb plains in the foreground. The car with the open door demonstrates that the Namibians are always ready to take off with their 4x4 to go for adventure and camp in the wilderness.

This picture is taken on the guest farm called ‘Niedersachsen’, an insider tip for people interested in astronomy.

Salut Pascal,
This would work well in a Range Rover commercial. I like the subdued colors and the sense of wind accentuated by the 1/80 sec shutter speed. The vehicle stands out sharply in the low-pov composition. Niedersachsen? Indication of German influence I suppose. Look forward to visiting Namibia myself. Regards,

very simple idea..but a perfect colour balance and very well taken.. i really liked this shot.. very good sharpness as well..

L'image est superbe, elle raconte ce qui est vu et les moyens mis en place pour le voir. Ici les couleurs sont trés belle avec le vert de la prairie qui contraste avec le rouge des montagnes.

the soft subdued colors are versatile and easy on the eye! the deep BG accents add richness and charm!
this reminds me of the service vehicle of Jeff Corwin of animal planet fame. has anyone from Range Rover company contacted you yet- cool endorsement this makes!

A défaut de passer par Paris je passe par ta galerie virtuelle pour saluer notamment cette photo pas toute récente mais d'une netteté et d'une tonalité impressionante. Même si le 4x4 domine très fort la scène et ne laisse au paysage namibien que la portion congrue... cela donne envie d'une grande escapade.
