Photographer's Note

Few kilometers south of Henties Bay, Zeila came to rest on a sand bank on 25 August 2008, after its towline broke and got stranded shortly after it left Walvis Bay.

The dilapidated vessel which was destined for the scrap yard in India became an additional tourist attraction along the Skeleton Coast, joining many other shipwrecks.

Concerning the f/22 aperture, it wasn't to get extreme depth of field, but rather to slow down the shutter speed in order to get the motion blur effect of the waves, adding to the ghostly effect of the shipwreck.
