Photographer's Note

Walvis Bay is the only natural port in Namibian seashore, it was discovered by Portuguese and the British took control of the place soon. When German took control of Namibia this town became a British enclave and after independence of Namibia it was part of South African territory, until to be integrated to the whole nation some years ago.
Here we can see the bay with its flamingoes. At this moment there was a strong and cold wind.

Walvis Bay é o único porto natural da costa da Namíbia, foi descoberto pelos portugueses e tomado pelos ingleses. Quando os alemães tomaram conta da Namíbia, esta cidade se tornou um enclave britânico, depois da independência da Namíbia o lugar passou a ser um enclave sul-africano e por fim foi reintegrado ao território namibiano há poucos anos.
Vemos aqui um grupo de flamingos na baía local. Neste dia ventava forte e fazia frio.
