Photographer's Note
Swakopmund (German for "Mouth of the Swakop") is a city on the coast of Namibia. The city is situated in the Namib desert.
Swakopmund is a beach resort and an example of German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa, and a sizable part of its population is still German-speaking today.
This is the "Hohenzollernhaus", built between 1904-1906 in the neo-baroque style

Hello Kris, really a nice piece of german architecture here. I've seen photos from namibia before and there was nobody on the streets..so strange. Anyway good shot here, interesting color on the walls. Well done.
Regards!

Hello Kris - This is an excellent shot of the beautiful "Hohenzollernhaus". Te detailing is really good and there are no distracting elements on the street. You may not know it but the house was once a brothel - its original purpose was to accommodate visiting German aristocracy. Warm regards Rosemary
