| The Himba are a nomadic tribe living in the river beds in the desert in the Skeleton Coast in Northern Namibia. It is a really tough existence. The women adorn their bodies completely with red mud which gives them this appearance |

Nice portrait with a real ethnographic interest. The way hair are emprisoned in mud is very astonishing. A unity of colours (as would say Benetton ...).
The shot is very interesting. I think her clever hair adornement makes this very unique!
Really nice portrait and view to a different culture. Is adornment the only purpose for applying this red mud? (or does it serve to protect their skin, too?) -Jenn
