[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I came across this magnificent male lion in Etosha National Park. He was following a lion couple, envying the female of the other male lion. I believe the two have been fighting over the female as this lion was wounded on his left front paw (not visible in this pic). This one lost the fight and the contest for the female.
Shot in RAW. No crop, adjusted temperature and slightly reduced the yellow. USM as a finish. All in PSE3

I went to Etosha but never managed to have such a nice photo of one lion male like this one.

I thought you should have used the zoom lens. Texture in the king's face is remarkable. His attention elsewhere is likeable. your framing is nice. Surroundings could have been more pleasant. But you can't do anything for it.
