.. with all these yellow walls? Errh... some snapshots.

I simply couldn't help shooting the dilapidated architecture in Ilha. After a while, I'll bring you to the southern side, less colors, more people,...

a bientot

Bonsoir Luko
Xavier

Hi Luko,

Excellent colors and a nice composition. TFS

Bonsoir Luko,

Another tone-poem on Africa in the morning, the play of harsh light and shadows with vibrant color of broad foreground swaths, of loneliness and ancient pain in the depth of curved lanes lined with faded buildings; what will that light illuminate in a dark night, one wonders. Singularly achieved.

Hi Luko
Good shot and POV. I like the backstreets that's where you get the really shots. Yours is a prime example!
Cheers

Excellente chanson des US3, 'Watcha gonna do'!

Hi Luko,
Wonderful sunny composition.
Excellent framing, colors and light.
I like much the contrast between the left side and the right side this street.

teo

Winner...

I am watching your complete Mozambique series from the day you started uploading.
But till today did not feel like to comment.
Many reasons...Though Photos were nice but did not click to me.
second thing..I may started feeling sort of boring about TE..& sometime feel I am wasting my time checking pages after pages to get even a single good Photo & I often end up watching Sohrab's Photo.

This one is simple but beautiful.
In fact very WISE photo & beautifully composed.
A Word Africa is always mystery for me & it is still..I always feel some sort of attraction for that place..& this Photo is matching to my image which is in my mind.
Wideness, Darkness, Colorful, Poor but rich..
Everything is here.
I would prefer to see two kid playing ..those silhouette should not had overlapped by this guy..
Nice work..
Really winner..

Love that yellow wall leading the eye stright to the man and contrasting against the blue sky. Awesome shot!
Cheers,
Enrique

Hi Luko.

Usually this shouldn't be a goodidea: the right half of the picture is a wall. The it is well balanced: the colour of the wall and the man walking in the street make the photo very suggerent.

Well done.

Perfect! At first I thought "why didn't he waited a bit longer in order to to get a bigger picture from the main subject?" But then I saw the shadow and the light. And you caught him right where the sun was shining. Very good exposure once again. So balanced yet so contrasty. And those yellows... Like it.

Man it wasn't just us French painting everything YELLOW, eh? The Portuguese were at it too. What t is is the Miditerraneanizing of the colonies , eveything turning Latin... I like the perpsective and the Nygus aspect here. Very cool shot.

I like this one, quite a weird one to look at as if the image has been segmented, with such a large yellow wall on the right and almost a completely opposite scene to the left.

Bonsoir, Luko.

What can I say Luko? Colors are gorgeous. I mean, blue and gold together are noble colors. This is a noble photograph.. Light, shadows, and gentleman are all perfectly co-ordinated. How the heck is this a snapshot?!

Take care,
Brian

You've captured the moment perfectly. The balance between the light & shade is spot on. As for the colours - magical. Roberto

reminds me of that wall in hoi an.. i think francis mentioned those french yellows too... goes well with the blue sky for sure... just too bad the guy's so camouflaged, a nice white ao dai with a big conical hat, or better yet, one of those red sea monk robes would work very well here... a very nice compo, love the contrast between the smooth right and the battered surfaces on the left.. beautiful colors...

Salut Monsieur.
Fred

Hello Luko
Big colourful walls and a well lit person sandwiched by them, this is certainly a formula I enjoy, you stand and wait for a good character to show up
the result is very good
Regards
Daniel

Hi Luko, yes...this isn't your style... :)))
but it is a goooood one....!
i like a lot the strong yellow here and the perpective on the old houses...
the man walking is perfect..
ciao!

A+
Alex

Beautiful perspective. I like the big yellow wall, and the shadow on it which guides the eye to the man.

Hello Luko,
The colors and shadows are brilliant.
Great photograph.

congrats from India.
Arghya

Tu as eu de quoi pratiquer là-bas pour ça, tu me diras.

Hello Luko,
The yellow wall broadly put in the right half is really impressive, and makes an interesting contrast from the pattern of the dilapidated wall in the left. Strength of the direct sunshine of Africa is also expressed by having put the man at sunny spot. This amazing photo had been hidden in the favorite of my browser for a long time.
Best wishes, Hisashi

Intense colors, light threatment and impeccable technique. I like specialy the composition and how it work with that man in the middle. Thx for share Luko.

Looking back through your photos I thought I'd leave a few words on this one. Love the huge expanse of yellow wall. The light and timing are great. The new stucco on the wall on the right makes it so much more apparent just how dilapidated the walls on the left are. And of course blue and orange together always makes me happy.
