Photographer’s Note
This place is called "Ilha dos Portugueses" which means Portuguese Island and it's not far from the capital Maputo. The high tide creates these lagoons on the island.
This is also a nice place to be the only person on the beach.

Bela composição com excelente contraste entre o azul sinuoso do rio (ou braço de mar?) e a areia fina e branca. Parabéns ..

A nice beach just waiting for a person. I like the contrast of the sand and the water. Nice post, welcome to TE!

Very sharp lines here make for a striking image Mauricio.
Yu've successfully broken the so called 'rule of thirds' here - well done. A little more foreground interest would have made this photo even better.
Congrats & regards.

Welcome to TE Mauricio! This is a wonderful place in which to share your photos and chat with folks from around the world, both about photography and about the world we share.
This is a fine capture very nicely presented. Colors and details are rendered well. I'd encourage you to take advantage of the full size available, which is 800 pixels. I checked this offering and it is 672 pixels wide. I may be more sensitive to the subject now that I'm using a 20' monitor, but even when I was using a 17" monitor I welcomed larger images. Give it some thought.
I look forward to what you will share with us from your world. Enjoy yourself! There are many wonderful folks hanging out at TE.

Nice shot Mauricio! What I like more is:
1) good use of exposure, is easy to overexpose white sand at these latitudes
2) Hogarth's beauty (the "s" lines)
