Another photo from my bike trip to Mozambique...

I decided to post another photo of the storks I posted yesterday. This one was taken from far, at maximum focal length, and I still had to crop quite a bit so I think it can be sharper. However, I like the shapes they make in this photo.

Yellow-Billed Stork (Mycteria ibis) 95-105cm

Long, slightly decurved yellow bill. During the breeding season its naked facial skin is red and its wing coverts and back are tinged with pink.

Its habitat is lakes and large rivers and estuaries. It is normally silent, except during the breeding season when it gives loud squeaks and hisses.

I liked your previous shot of these two amazing birds – but I prefer this one. Very beautiful and simple with nice poses of the birds.

BTW, you are doing great sales promotion for tourism of Mozambique by posting these great shots of your bike trip...

Beautiful ballet ! :)
The birds are great and the colours very good !
Congratulations

By a chance surely, but still a fin leg posing from the storks here ;-)

Good capture under light conditions well suited these storks. Another fine contribution in your interesting series.

I like these two birds and the attitude they have here, as if they look at the photographer.
Interesting note.
I tried another version in a Workshop.
Good post, Henry !

Beautiful bike trip Henry, very beautiful and simple with nice poses of the birds. Always perfectly!
Altijd zeer mooi van jou Henry.

One more great composition... nice colors, light and composition.
Very well done. Good job.

I agree with you. Their body positions are very interesting and create a dinamic image. If it were possible I believe the composition would benefit from a crop in the right and some more space in the left, and some more space at the top as well to un-center more the birds. As you said it was cropped maybe you've got the possibility to do that.

Wonderful couple Henry :) Love their standing and you managed to capture them in a lovely moment. Very well framed, good job :)

great subjects here, I like the bird with its legs crossed because it looks like men crossing thier legs.

Very good composition and also the murkey water adds to the picture, well done

They look like dancers, you could have titled it "Ginger and Fred" ;-) Great shot, Henry, with a funny frontal posing of the left bird, and a good profile view of the fishing/drinking one. I like their placement in the water and how the blue softly fades into the background. Beautiful capture of the moment.

Ek hou meer van hierdie "pose" - dis tipies van hoe hulle wei. Die meer pano crop werk ook goed. Dof is klein bietjie sag, ook die wit op die middelste bors is baie uitgebrand.

sorry if i missed a lot of your shots, not much time, in fact I think I will stop posting pictures on TE, at least while travelling.
I love this one.Great. you are very talented.
