Another picture of the "Erg Chebbi" desert near Merzouga. Maybe you remember my last picture of the man with his three dromedaries walking through the desert. I liked the scene very much because I had never seen anything like that before. This one is taken from a dune, so you have an overlook over the whole scene.
I hope you like it and can give me some good hints,
Jonas

Take a look at the Workshop, there I posted the picture with a different frame.

Hey Jonas

its a really nice pic, esp the blue of the man gives it the different edge...hard to find that color in desert n it could also mean water....:)
well done!!

Hello, you fou've found her a nice point of view, your picture is sharp, I like the composition, well balanced, nice colours...was it just after raining? because of the colour of the sand, it's look like just a sunshine ray in the middle of a dark sky...
thank you for sharing.
Fabien

artistic !

Great POV, the only hint I can give you is to get back up that dune and shoot some more images

Hello Jonas.
A small photo, but beautifully cropped to place the camels and man in very eye-pleasing positions within the frame. Great viewpoint you had for this shot. I love the strong shadows, the touch of bright blue, and the man's thoughtful looking stance. A very striking shot, well done. I think I actually prefer the WS frame.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Jonas, amazing one, colorful, excellent quality and from a great POV!
thanks, ciao

Hi Jonas
Excellent pov and well cropped to create a balanced image. I really like the shadows and the way the man's blue robes stand out so well against the sand. The different tones of the sand create an interesting background.
Regards
Nikki

Der Rahmen und das Format gefallen mir gut. Der Panorama-Ansatz bewirkt, das das Bild fast wie ein Gemälde wirkt. Schöne Farben
Viele Grüße,
Achim

Hello Jonas,I like this version of your shot with this frame.
The composition is excellent. The man in blue just completes the picture.I particularly like the shadows, they add depth.
A good POV.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Jonas
Magnifique vue. La texture du sable et les nuance de couleurs sont superbe.

Hello Jonas. You have constantly creating excellent images from the simplicity of the desert. Stunning top view with the camel Shepard walking along the camels in the vastness of empty space. Regards. Jusni

Your high viewpoint on top of a dune has given you a great position to observe and take photos. I always try and compose images with people and/or animals so they are walking or looking into the frame and not out of it. Without being there myself I'm not sure what the situation was, but maybe if you had zoomed out a bit and turned more to the left there would have been more space in front of the two camels. I don't think the one lone camel matters too much; you could have omitted him from the composition altogether by turning left and you would have a nice group of three with the man and his two camels. Just a suggestion. It is still a well taken shot.
Kath

Hi Jonas, splendid POV for a great desert composition, wonderful colors and good sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Jonas,
really beautiful capture with the camels. Unusual picture for us. Nice light and shadows and excellent framing and colours.
Good job. Bravo.

Costantino

Hello Jonas,
Seems like you were swimming in great scenes in the desert!
But this is about being able to see too, to simplify and make what you see look attractive to others...
Great details and the shadow play adds interest value, warm attractive colours!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Jonas,

Frankly I prefer the framing of the WS, the image is perhaps smaller but that accentuates the smoothness of the image. I like much this scene, one feels in the image all the calm one of these animals. The colors are very beautiful and the shades on sand are very appreciable adding a relief in the image. Pretty and releasing moment, thank you Jonas.

With all my friendships and a very good evening,

Jean-Charles

Hello Jonas,
You had positioned the subjects well spread over the frame and a good pov from on top of the dune!
it's a good composition with sharpness, nice colour and details
well done once again
Tony

Hello Jonas
Another nice picture from the dunes and the camels. I remember the small one on the front left from your earlier picture -"Dromedary". I would agree with Kath about the framing. You may try by cropping off the camel on the right...but it's upto you really! But nonetheless this is a very good shot
Regards
Angshu

Jonas,
I remember quite well your previous version and have to say that the pitfalls of the previous one are very well worked out here. This here seems to be flawless, at least for my eyes. Every dromedary and that single person have their distinctive place and balance. It almost seems to be perfect ;-)
I just checked the WS and personally I prefer the WS with the larger frame.
Peter

Jonas,
Excellent photo of the Desert. I love the POV from the top. The sand is so very nice and clean from the rain which make the color so very well saturated in colors, excellent sharpness, and the composition is great for the eyes to wander around the image. Color and light are just perfectly balanced with the right amount of contrast and saturation. The strong shadows really bring out your subject nicely. Thanks so much for sharing.
Way

These desert pictures are stunning. Your far away POV helps give the sense of vastness. The positioning of the various elements couldn't be better. Excellent work.
Best wishes
Mark
