On the picture you can see the biggest dune near Merzouga. It´s over 250 meters tall and needs more time to ascend than you would expect. That´s because your feet always sink in the sand. But it wasn´t too hot that day, so we all survived the hike :-). By the way, from the top of the dune on the picture, I took that photo. The view from the top was so wonderful (you could see so many other smaller dunes and the little town Merzouga), that it was more than worth the effort of the hike.
In the Workshop you can see the way up from a differnet point of view.
I hope you like it and can give me some good hints,
Jonas

Hello Jonas,
Seems like you had a great time in the desert, photo wise!
This is an interesting point of view, enhancing the lines in the dune nicely...
I'm not quite sure what the footprints do to the image, but they are there and the composition as a whole is very good!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Jonas,

It seems me to see prints of dromedaries too... You found a beautiful visual angle I find what give a good prospect. Good management of the lights accentuating the reliefs. Pretty photograph. One needs courage to climb up there !!!

With all my friendships and a very good end-of-day,

Jean-Charles

Very good POV from near the ground, to better show the effort in climbing the dune. very good you have included the human figures, which give the correct size.
Regards Stefano

Bonjour Jonas,
un vrai désert le sur marocain, il faut aimer, moi, ce n'est pas trop mon truc.
Une photo bien partagée entre ciel bleu et sable brun, des personnages qui donnet les échelles.
Pas facile de se mouvoir.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hello Jonas,

Hi Jonas
The spine of the dune forms an excellent perspective & your low POV accentuates it. Like the way you spaced the three people, quite evenly in the frame. The colour contrast between the sand & the sky is again appealing. Once again a composition I like a lot really!

Angshu

Bonjours,
belle photo de ce sommet de dune, passage fort emprunté pour passer de l' autre côté. Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté, ces traces bien visibles, ces gens qui peinent.
Bien belle prise.

Amitiés Thomas

Hi JONAS,
very unusual photo, truly beautiful and difficult image, contrasted colours,
composition works nicely,I like the subject
Generally is a very smooth image with excellent
depth...
Costantino

Achim

Jonas,
your shots are starting to get extremely sofisticated. Tou're learning fast and there is a composition that is flawless in every respect. I don't see anything that can be done different or even better. Excellent work!
Peter

Your framing couldn't have been better thanks to your low POV. The diagonal provided by the top of the slope is superb, the people are excellently placed and the textures of the sand are a plus. Very good photography.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Jonas,

fantastico framing and exhibition, excellent.

regards

Excellent minimalist compo in two colors and sand texture. Well seen and framed.

Andreea

Hi Jonas
Simple but effectively done! The diagonal drives my glance to the top. Excellent contrasts and point of view. That's a huge dune visited by many people I think. There are many footsteps that tell it to me. Bravo!
Best regards
Denis!
