Photographer’s Note
When I went to Marrakech it was to try and take some portraits of the locals. Well I have to say I found it very difficult to get anybody to let me take a photograph of them. Yet the young kids playing football in the old town were up for it. Makes you realise how good sports photographers are when you have a go at trying to capture something that is moving about so fast!

Hello Mark,
A very good daily life shot of these two lads kicking their ball about. I like the poses and the shadows. Very good rendering in black and white with good tones and clarity. I might have cropped slightly on the right to remove the 'half person' from the frame.

Hi Mark. I think you have captured a good moment of the two. Yea, like Mugnum soccer, you have caught a great moment in an ordinary moment that is great. I just thought it is a bit too bright, some might like it that way, but to me it stings in my eyes. Also I thought about cropping the man in right side. I did WS but I noticed WS feature on your gallery is not accepted. Uhmm, I hope that I explained well about my thought in my comments.

I like the poses and expressions you captured here Mark, but I think your choice of shutter speed was a bit too fast. A slower shutter speed would have allowed you to inject a bit of movement into the image, blurring the ball and their fast moving arms and legs; at the moment I find it a bit static.
Other than that, this is very good, and I think it works well in B&W.
Cheers,
Ben

Good shot Mark, and works well in B&W. Agree about the crop, which also would make the main subjects less central, but the brightness levels looks fine on my monitor.
cheers, Leon

Hi Mark,
you're right that shooting football games is a hard thing, I've tried it and the only thing that I found possible was shooting a lot of high-speed photos in sequence, and then select from those...
Anyway, I wouldn't say your result here is brilliant, but it is pretty good. It's the smiles on their faces that really make the photo...

Good choice of B&W emphasizing the action and their expressions, Mark, I add it to one of my soccer themes, thanks for sharing, Daniel
